Mt Lyford Lodge is the perfect venue to host your next event, as it’s one of New Zealand’s largest log cabins; our beautiful Lodge and scenery will wow your guests. Surrounded by nature and calm, the venue is a world away from the harshness of city life.
The Lodge is available and suitable to hire for all types events, from large conferences to more intimate workshops. Options include hiring our Mountain View Conference Room or the entire venue, specific to your event needs. We regularly host AGM events for large national organisations and have accumulated the knowledge of what makes a good conference work.
Your daytime team-building and self-improvement activity options are endless with 400 acres of skiing, mountain biking, walks, along with bungy jumping, whale watching, helicopter flights and jet boating roughly 50 minutes drive away. Conference guests also have access to our on-site facilities such as the restaurant, bar and spa pools for much-needed relaxation at the end of the day. We can accommodate approximately 60 guests within three classes of accommodation at the Lodge. If your group exceeds this number, the nearby Mt Lyford Alpine Village has several rental houses.
We also specialise in car and motorcycle club events and have successfully hosted the Porsche, Triumph, MG, and Lotus clubs recently. Your journey to the lodge takes in the inland Kaikoura road, a spectacular drive which is certain to impress. Our large grounds enable us to offer parking for up to 100 vehicles, plenty of space to check out the other machines. Please use the contact form below to discuss food and beveridge packages. Mt Lyford Lodge has traditionally been a venue for school camps and we continue this offer this service to our loyal family of schools and educators.
We are located just under two hours north of Christchurch, on the Inland Kaikoura road, or about 50 minutes south of Kaikoura township.
